Services Ltd. provides highly experienced contract engineers to work
with telecommunications companies, helping them to succeed in the
fast changing complex world of technology.
The company was formed in 2001 by four
Ex-Marconi engineers To
help employers that are seeking greater flexibility from their
workforce so that they can respond quickly and economically to
changes in the market place.
The founder members have a total of over 100 years experience,
specialising in the testing and delivery to the telecommunication
industry, of complex digital high-speed data and voice products and
systems.
By supplying highly
skilled professional engineers only when required, to work alongside
the customer's own engineers, our unique service reduces project
overheads by removing the costs associated with the
recruitment process or in training and skills upgrading of permanently
employed staff and helps our customers that lack resources in the
testing element of a telecommunications project to deliver reliable
products quickly to the market.
For example, as the
diagrams below illustrate: A Test Engineer can run a set of tests
(GREEN), finding and reporting faults found. Whilst faults are being
investigated and solutions sought, the Test Engineer may not be
required (RED), therefore the customer is not paying for
"waiting time". When the solutions to the problems are
ready to re-test, our Test Engineer will return to complete the
testing (GREEN).

Strategist can be supplied to produce a Test & Verification Plan
(GREEN), later a Test Strategy (GREEN) and be released when not
required (RED), removing the requirement for permanent staff.
Additional long term
savings can be made as our professional engineers work to a well
proven process that ensures faults are found as early as possible in
the project life cycle, minimising the need for re-testing, again
reducing project overheads and ensuring the final product is "fit
for purpose".
TestSelect specialise in

multi-skilled and can work on various elements of a telecommunications

solutions.

two decades by working on major projects, from development through to
deployment and support, for many of the telecommunications industry
leaders, including British Telecom, Cable & Wireless, NTL, Norweb,
and Marconi. The engineers have worked together on major projects,
thereby attaining a full understanding of each project element and
forming a highly professional working relationship.
By supplying expert
engineers as and when required, TestSelect provide a service that
helps our customers complete projects on time, with the added benefit
of reducing the overheads of engaging permanent staff, thereby
enabling the customer to make cost savings.

available to work at short notice anywhere within the UK using
customer facilities and, where appropriate, at our own headquarters in
Dorset.
